Infrared Remotes Supported by Pclix XT for Digital Video Cameras

Aiptek Video Remote

 

The Pclix XT can emulate many Infrared Remotes including the Aiptek Remote to the left. With the Pclix XT you can trigger your camera to take a still image or to start and stop recording. The length of the recorded clip can be up to 1 hour in length or as short as one second plus everything in between. The interval between triggers can be anything up to 100 hours in 1 second increments. As far as we know this remote is compatible with all Aiptek cameras. However never say never. Canon Video Remotes

The above Canon Video Camera Infrared remotes are supported by the Pclix XT. There are dozens of Canon Video Cameras which are compatible with these Canon remotes. The Pclix XT has the ability to emulate both the Photo Button and the Start and Stop Recording Button on the above remotes. This means that Canon cameras which are compatible with the above remotes can be triggered to take a sequence of time-lapse images. You can also trigger your camera to start and stop recording at whatever interval you choose. The length of the recorded clip can be anything between 1 second and 1 hour in length in 1 second increments.

JVC Video Remotes

The above three JVC Video Camera infrared remotes are supported by the Pclix XT. There are dozens of JVC Video Cameras which are compatible with these JVC remotes. The Pclix XT has the ability to emulate both the Photo Button and the Start and Stop Recording Button on the above remotes. This means that JVC cameras which are compatible with the above remotes can be triggered to take a sequence of time-lapse images. You can also trigger  the camera to start and stop recording at whatever interval you choose. The length of the recorded clip can be up to 1 hour in length in 1 second increments.

The above Panasonic Video Camera infrared remotes are supported by the Pclix XT. There are dozens of Panasonic Video Cameras which are compatible with these remotes. This means that Panasonic cameras which are compatible with the above remotes can be triggered to take a sequence of time-lapse images. Sanyo Video Remote

The Pclix XT can emulate many Infrared Remotes including the Sanyo Xacti BRC-C3 Remote to the left. With the Pclix XT you can trigger your Sanyo Xacti camera to take a still image or to start and stop recording. The length of the recorded clip can be up to 1 hour in length or as short as one second plus everything in between. The interval between triggers can be anything up to 100 hours in 1 second increments. As far as we know this remote is compatible with all Sanyo Xacti cameras. Sony Video Remotes

  The above Sony Video Camera Infrared Remotes are supported by the Pclix XT. There are dozens of Sony Video Cameras which are compatible with these remotes. The Pclix XT has the ability to emulate both the Photo Button and the Start and Stop Recording Button on the above remotes*. This means that Sony Video cameras which are compatible with the above remotes can be triggered to take a sequence of time-lapse images. You can also trigger  the camera to start and stop recording at whatever interval you choose. * NOTE: The Sony RM-F300 is compatible with the Sony EX1 and EX3, these video cameras can ONLY be triggered to start and stop recording. There is no Photo button on the RM-F300 remote.

Using the above compatibility chart select the make of your camera. You will then see the Infrared Remotes which are currently supported by the Pclix XT for the manufacturer you've selected. Because there are literally hundreds and hundreds of video cameras which can be triggered using infrared light it is a daunting task to list each and every video camera. We have instead opted to list the remotes which are supported and then leave it up to you to determine if your camera can be triggered using one of them. A good place to start is by checking which remote if any came with your video camera. Also read through your video camera's manual for information regarding infrared remote triggering of your camera model. The Pclix XT can emulate both the Photo and Record Start/Stop buttons for all the remotes listed in the above chart except where (*) noted.

If you own a Canon 5DMKII or Canon 7D and are shooting video with these camera model then you are in luck.
