With the Pclix LT there are two ways a camera can be triggered. The first is using infrared light. In this configuration the Pclix LT can instruct a camera to take an image wirelessly using very fast pulses of invisible light. The second is by connecting a control cable between the Pclix LT and the camera, in this method the Pclix LT closes an internal switch which is optically isolated from the main electronics to protect the camera. Once the internal switch is closed the camera will take an image. Some digital cameras have both options, others have one or the other, many have neither. As a general rule of thumb if your camera has both a remote port and infrared receiver we recommend you go with the Camera Control Cable method. The two tables below list all the known digital cameras which can be triggered by the Pclix LT using either Infrared Light or a Camera Control Cable.
PLEASE NOTE: Many cameras require special connectors when using the control cable method, this can in some cases but not all add to the cable cost due to the special connectors needed from the camera manufacturers.
