Will the Pclix LT100 work with my camera model?
At present the Pclix LT100 is designed to work with most cameras which will accept a wireless infrared trigger or a switch contact closer. Many cameras have at least one, some both, however many also have neither. Go here for Pclix LT100 compatable cameras.

What type of batteries should I use and how long will they last?
The Pclix uses 2 AAA batteries, Alkaline is best but others will work as well. With a fresh pair of Alkaline batteries installed the Pclix LT100 will trigger a camera once every two seconds for about a month solid. With a longer interval the battery life would be extended. As with any battery extreme cold temperatures will reduce it's life. If you require a longer operating time than a month please select the power adaptor option when ordering.

How much does the Pclix LT100 weight and how much space will it take up in my camera bag?
The Pclix LT100 weights in at just 4 ounces, that's a mere 113 grams including batteries, hand/tripod strap and trigger cable. If you add in the optional power adaptor the weight will be about double. The Pclix LT100 is not too small for average sized hands and not too big to store when not being used. Most camera bags have a few extra pockets for the small stuff, this device measures in at just 3.6" high, 2.6" wide and 0.8" deep.

Can I use it in very hot or very cold enviorments?
The Pclix LT100 and it's internal electrical components have been designed to function over a huge temperature range. Anything between -40C (-40F) and +60C (140F) will allow the Pclix LT100 to function normally. However you might not.

What is the Infrared operational range of the Pclix LT100?
That depends on a few things. If you are controlling a Nikon D70, D70S or D50 using infrared light then the range is somewhere in the area of 15M (50 ft) provided the camera can see the IR light from the Pclix LT100. Other cameras like the Canon Rebel have a reduced range compared to the Nikon Cameras. This range is more in line with the specs of Canons IR remote controllers, 4.5M (15 ft) give or take.

Can I easily set the Pclix LT100 to any time interval I choose?
Yes. The Pclix has 99 interval setting right at your fingertips. Ten of which can be set by you to anything between 1 second and 100 hours all in 1 second increments. Once you've saved your custom settings in memory they stay there until changed by you. The other 89 intervals are fixed from 1 to 89 seconds. You can change between any of the 99 interval settings during shooting making it possible to have different intervals within one image sequence.

Is there a warranty and if so what does it cover?
Absolutely. During manufacturing the Pclix LT00 is extensively tested to ensure all fuctions are working correctly. The Pclix LT100 comes with a 1 year warranty covering any manufacturing defects due to electrical failure or breakdown. This warranty does not cover failure due to misuse or weather damage. As well all optional cables are covered by the same warranty. TIP: Various credit cards companies provide an extended warranty period on products purchased with their credit card.

Will the Pclix LT100 take a beating?
Obvisiously it's better not to drop or kick around any electronic device, however, having said that the Pclix LT100 is built to tough standards. The case is heavy duty injection molded plastic and the external switch controls are securely fastened. The front face label is scratch resistant and will never lift off the case. Internally all electronic componites are securely mounted and will not come loose under normal handling.

I have custom Pclix LT100 settings and intervals, well I lose that data if the batteries need to be replaced?
All user preferences which you enter into the Pclix LT100 are saved in flash memory. This means even if the Pclix LT100 is left for long periods of time without batteries your settings will be there next time you go to use it.

Can the Pclix LT100 damage my camera?
The Pclix LT100 controls your camera the exact same as equipment sold by the major camera manufactures. When controlling a camera with infared light there is no physical connection between the two. When using a Contact Switch Closure cable between the Pclix LT100 and your camera the two are electronically isolated by an internal optical relay.

OK, I've shot my time-lapse sequence. Now what?
Basically once your images have been shot they are then saved onto your computers hard drive in a seperate folder. There are many software programs available to assemble your series of images into a movie both for the PC and MAC. One of the best applications is Quicktime from Apple. Quicktime is a free download from Apple however you will need Quicktime Pro which is not free, Apple charges $29.95 USD to unlock the Pro features of Quicktime.

What comes in the box?
Besides a brand new Pclix LT100 camera controller you will also find a hand/tripod strap which allows you to easily carry the device or hang it from your tripod. Of course 2 X AAA batteries are included so you don't have to run down to the corner store or rumage through a kitchen drawer. As well we include a very detailed users manual on CD and a plastic laminated quick reference guide which is the same dimentions as your Pclix. This allows it to be stored along side the Pclix LT100 in your camera bag.

Can the Pclix LT100 software be upgraded if new features are added?
Yes, the software can be upgarded, however in order to do so requires the main program chip to be replaced in the Pclix LT100. We have chosen this path in order to keep the costs of development and ultimitly the cost of out products as low as possible. If in the future you feel the need for newly added features if and when they become available we will make all software upgrades available to you for a very reasonable cost.
